I was extremely worried about buying a refurbished watch from Amazon. I wanted to buy from Apple, but the cheapest refurbished watch they had was $339.00 and I'm just unwilling to pay those prices for a watch. I had a Series 2 from January 2018 - fall 2021, when the watch face simple fell open (I was appalled but I don't blame the watch, I wore it all day every day during that period of time. It got me through 60 lb weight loss, I'm surprised it made it that long).Watch arrived today. I will note that it took a really long time to charge. That is the con here, it took about an hour to charge to 68% which suggests that either - it takes Series 4 longer to charge, or there may be a battery issue here.Besides that, the watch is in great condition. There is one tiny ding at the very top of the watch. You only notice it if you have your eyeball an inch from the watch, like I did. Otherwise, no scratches or defects on the watch screen or in the watch when it is powered up (I saw others had dots or other irregularities in their refurbished watch screens - none on this one). The watch set up and paired to my phone without any problems. I have been unable to set up cellular - I keep getting an error. This may be an AT&T issue, I'm not sure yet. Despite this being a 4 year old watch, it doesn't feel like a 4 year old watch. It's new TO ME. I like the new features (ECG, the slightly bigger screen DOES make a difference .. I always put my passcode in wrong at least 2x with the Series 2, with this that issue is gone).I'll revisit this review after I've had it a while, or uncovered answers to any of my other issues. As a note, my seller was The Camera Guyz in Brooklyn NY. My delivery date was initially towards the end of next week, next Thursday (I ordered yesterday, Friday)... watch came within 24 hours.Had Apple Watch 3 for years. Finally broke the screen otherwise not wanting to change. I did have the 38mm and felt like a snowman with a small weed watch. I decided last minute to get the 44mm watch 4 renewed and I’m 100% happy. It came with small blemishes but a lot less then I put on my old watch. It paired good and battery is much better then my well taken care of Apple Watch 3. Like I said, there are small scratches and what not but for the price, awesome. Deal with it or buy new in my opinion. Talking my spouse into moving up to a Apple Watch 4 like me but probably the 40mm for her. Bigger was better in this situation.I gave 4⭐️because the return process is really annoying. I was trying to return it at first because I didn’t notice that it came with an UV screen protector and when I put a cover on the screen lost sensitivity and was a long wait for the return label and the first that they sent me I had to paid for the return. Thanks good that I notice the screen protector an once I removed all worked perfectly❤️This is a watch with multiple ways to see the time and many other bits of data like current local temperature, date, a map of the world showing daylight areas, and how much you’ve “moved” today. And it integrates with your iphone pretty easily. if you’re on a diet program like Noom data is imported.i love it. i wish there were more canned watch faces. i know i can make my own but i would have to read how. not that interested. grin.The battery life on this is absolutely abysmal! To be a refurbished item, one would think that they replaced the battery. I had to check the battery health- and it needs to be serviced/replaced. So now, I have to pay half of the amount I paid for this puppy- to replace the battery. I love it otherwise, hence yanking a star away.I bought this refurbished watch to substitute my old apple watch whose screen had shattered … the one I bought was the exact same model ( series 4 ) and size ( 40mm ) it works perfectly and looks great. I love all the features. You would never know it wasn’t brand new, set up was easyThe only thing ‘renewed’ about this watch was the strap and charger, which are new unofficial accessories. They work fine and if I was precious about that I probably wouldn’t be looking at renewed products in the first place.The watch arrived in a massive outer box and was then poorly tucked into an inflatable plastic wallet for protection. Plug was in a plastic baggy, cable new and sealed in original packaging. Not fancy, but successful as the watch arrived undamaged in transit.The battery was completely flat. It took 20 minutes to charge enough to turn on. These devices should be stored around half-charged to maintain battery health, so that was a worry… it took about 4 hours to fully charge and another hour to update the iOS, which was well out of date. Then I could check the battery health in the phone’s settings, which is a great new feature, and it showed 99%, so the battery actually seems fine. It seems to burn about 60% over 24 hours of moderate use.The biggest clue that nothing had been done to ‘renew’ this device was its cleanliness. That may sound petty, but it arrived in a disgusting state. Thick, congealed dirt in every crevice that took a thorough scrubbing with some cotton buds to clean off. It was in every groove and deep in the strap slots, with obvious thumb prints and marks over the screen and back. I cleaned it all off and, luckily, there’s no obvious damage. Some light marks of wear, but overall it looks like the previous owner took reasonable care of it.If it hasn’t been updated or even wiped down, I don’t see how they can call it ‘renewed’. I honestly feel lucky that it’s in good condition and functions fine, as all indications are that the watches are simply picked up, thrown in a box and sent back out again.Screen smashed from being dropped from about 6 inches onto a wooden surface. My daughter has dropped her new watch on many occassion and it has never smashed. Obviously the screen on this watch is a very cheap replacement!The watch is immaculate. Not a single mark on it. The only thing that isn't perfect, is the box that it came in. Which had some ugly stickers on it. Spoiling the look of the original Apple box. However, it's only a box, most people will throw that in the bin anyway. The watch itself and strap are perfect.I bought this for my wife as an anniversary present. Actually bought her a new Watch 5 first. But after opening it up and charging it, we found out that it wasn't compatible with the iPhone 6 she has. So, I tracked down this refurbished Apple 4. This IS compatible with the iPhone 6 and the difference between the 4 and 5 models are minimal. I have a 4 myself. Brilliant watch. Very happy with the condition of this - as I say, it was immaculate.Sadly comes with an unofficial black strap and white charger (but I have a real Apple Sport band from a previous watch). Overall battery works great and it arrived with no scratches or dents. There was although some dead skin all over the buttons and microphone but it was cleanable. The battery is way better than I expected I am able to charge the watch fast and use sleep tracking (only when charged to 100% before bed) because the watch goes into a sleep mode mode and I can sleep through the night while waking up with around 85-95%. Haven’t tried water resistance in the ocean yet but hopefully it will work. I highly recommend getting this because you save a lot of money in the process. 10/10The condition of the watch is emaculate, you wouldn't guess that it wasn't brand new. The only issue I have and I do not think this is the provider's fault, is that it requires a software update. As I connect it to the charger to update it, I connect it to the phone to the phone to download the update, this works fine. BUT, when it comes to installing the update, it says the watch needs to be connected to the charger and have 50% charge to install. My watch is fully charged and connected to the charger at this stage. No matter what I do, I cannot get it past this stage and as such cannot get the watch setup for myself. Maybe because the charger is not an original apple one? I do not know. I have ordered an original apple to see if it works otherwise I will have to return the watch
